Jenni's Family in Kansas

First up is Jenni's family in Kansas. She meets him at a theater where she won her very first dance competition. She shows him some of her routines but he's thinking the whole time of how she wants to stay in Phoenix for a year, even if he chooses her at the end of the show. He admits that it worries him that spending a year apart would doom their relationship. She hasn't heard back yet about whether she's made the Phoenix Suns dance team for another year, but she believes that long distance relationships aren't bad and has faith that they can make it work.

They go to the hair salon where her mother, Vicky, works. Things go well until Brad tells her family that he's in the bar business and Jenni's grandmother, a teetotaler, wants to know if Brad is a drinker. He assures her that he's "the most boring bar guy you will ever meet." And when Brad says he wants to have lots of babies, grandmother chimes in that Jenni's "not a baby factory." Grandma says that if Brad doesn't treat Jenni right, it'll be "Hit the road, Jack."

Vicky takes Brad aside and gives him a shampoo, grilling him the whole time. She asks him if he isn't meeting lots of women at his bar and he says he is, but that it's tough to find the right one. He says that he never meets women like Jenni and that she's amazing.

Meanwhile, Jenni's sister asks if Jenni loves Brad and she says she thinks she does.

Next, Jenni's dad quizzes Brad about his goals for the future. Privately, he says he thinks Brad would fit into the family very well.

Over dinner, dad makes a toast: To Jenni and the dance team, as she's made the cut once again. She tells Brad that even though she's thrilled, and says that dancing is her life, if she is the one he picks, she'd be in for him "one million percent." He tells her he'd be willing to compromise to be with her. He asks how she wants things to turn out and she says she wants him in her life and they kiss.

Sheena's Family in California

Next, Brad meets Sheena at a marina in Concord, California, where they go boating with her mother and father. Her parents have been married for 24 years and say they're still madly in love. Her mother, Beverly, is pleased when it turns out Brad is the same sign, Scorpio, as her husband, and that he's "perfect" match with Sheena, who's an Aries. Beverly confides that she feels like Brad is already part of their family.

Beverly keeps talking about stars and Sheena being "the one" to Brad, who just nods along, because he clearly doesn't know what to say! Brad seems relieved when Sheena comes in but Mom doesn't let up on the "meant to be" talk, announcing, "Let's cut to the chase and get the ring!" Sheena is terribly embarrassed that her mother is already planning the wedding.

Sheena and Brad get some alone time in the hot tub. When she asks if her mother annoyed him, he assures her that he likes her family. She's relieved and is so happy that her family loves Brad so much.

DeAnna's Family in Georgia

Brad next visits DeAnna in Canton, Georgia. They both have presents: she's brought him a basket of peaches and he has a bottle of wine for her family. He admits he's nervous to meet her enormous extended family but feels right at home, since he was raised in Atlanta. Her father, Greg, wants to know if Brad's been married before and he tells him, "No, sir." He says that since his parents got divorced when he was young he takes marriage very seriously.

Brad asks Greg if he thinks it could be real between himself and DeAnna and Greg says, "definitely," and that he sees a sparkle in DeAnna's eye when she looks at Brad. Greg says DeAnna's had a hard time, growing up without a mother. She joins them on the porch with a photo album and introduces Brad to her late mother through snapshots.

DeAnna's sister asks what she'll do if Brad doesn't pick her. "Honestly, I'll be crushed," she says.

Brad is hanging out with DeAnna's immediate family when the rest of her clan shows up. Her grandfather pours a shot of ouzo for Brad and he downs it without admitting how much it burns, so they pour him another! He says it's just like "My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding" when the whole family gets up to show him how to do a Greek dance.

Both Brad and DeAnna find it hard to say goodbye at the end of the evening. He kisses her goodbye and she later admits that she's "totally smitten."

Bettina's Family in Washington D.C.

Brad's next stop is Washington D.C., to see Bettina. He's hoping that Bettina comes out of her shell around her family. They head to her father's house, where he also meets her mother, sister and stepmother. They confess all they know about him is his name, so he tells them how he went into business for himself, after leaving school. Her father, who's a professor, admits he's disappointed to hear that Brad didn't finish college. Neither he nor his wife are very happy to hear that Brad runs four bars for a living and although they don't say so outright, Brad feels like they're judging him.

Even worse for Brad, Bettina's father thinks that she can't do any better than her first husband. He doesn't like Brad's business, his lack of education, and he doesn't like the idea of Bettina moving somewhere for a man.

Bettina's mother expresses concern that Brad is "stringing along" some of the women and he assures both her and the stepmother that he wouldn't pretend to feel something he didn't. They ask him if he thinks Bettina is the one and he says he's sorry, but he can't answer the question. He's discouraged and upset that walking the dog without him takes precedence over continuing the conversation.

Bettina and Brad have a picnic on the steps of the Lincoln monument and he admits that he felt her family was judging him. He doesn't get why his living in Austin and not having an education is an issue when her sister moved to Austin and Bettina doesn't have a degree either. He takes opposition when she says that he doesn't look like a good match "on paper." The evening ends on a sour note with their argument.

Bettina

Sheena looks genuinely shocked not to receive a rose. She says her goodbyes to the other women and then Brad leads her outside. He tells her he thinks she's deserving of the perfect guy, he just doesn't think it's him. She's embarrassed to have fallen so hard and then she breaks down in tears. They hug and she tells him that she knows he has to follow his heart and that she respects that. In the limo, she says that she feels so heartbroken and betrayed, but she'd do it over again because that's how much she liked him. She wishes she'd told Brad that she was in love with him.

Brad thanks DeAnna, Jenni and Bettina for sticking around and tells them he's taking them all to Cabo San Lucas.
